Meet My Tech Startups

Hola! Welcome to my Tech Startups.
My Tech Startups is a panorama inquiry into the stunning and highly impactful technology-based start-ups initiated by great intellectuals who have been inspired by innumerable circumstances and experiences, to influence and impact the world around them in no small way. In recent times, with great process recorded in the technology space, several and in fact countless businesses have sprang up in various industries majorly handled by young minds; they are known as “Start-ups”. The name “Start-up”, already gives an indication of its meaning, though several descriptions have been coined and assigned to these initiatives, let’s have a look at some of them.

According to Merriam-Webster, start-up means
“the act or an instance of setting in operation or motion” or “a fledgling business enterprise.”
The American Heritage Dictionary suggests it is
“a business or undertaking that has recently begun operation.”
A startup or start-up is a company or project initiated by an entrepreneur to seek, effectively  develop, and validate a scalable business model.
A startup is a young company founded by one or more entrepreneurs in order to develop a unique product or service and bring it to market.
A Startup is a team of entrepreneurial talent developing new innovations, in identifiable and investable form, in progress to validate and capture the value of the created innovation - with ambition to grow fast with scalable business model for maximum impact.

We can accurately deduce from these definitions that start-ups require a lot of brain and hard work; it surely is not for lazy individuals, or entrepreneurs, as they are mostly called, who are the brains behind the business. These individuals have splendid ideas of stunning products and processes inspired by life and for daily life. Startups follow a trajectory towards success that includes a number of stages including ideation/prototyping, incubation where the concept is validated, commercialization where the business model is validated and finally scaling to growth with insurmountable courage. The rate of progress may vary greatly, as they implement creative and innovative corporations that shake the world.

Over the past several decades, the growth rate of tech start-ups has been strongly significant. The role of entrepreneurship in economic development has become an essential factor of employment, and innovations bring enhanced market competition. A report has revealed that budding entrepreneurs bring a £196 billion boost to the UK economy.  India’s MSME sector, comprised of 36 million units that provide employment for more than 80 million people, now accounts for over 37% of the country’s GDP. Tech start-ups have become significant in community development, exports, standard of living, balanced regional development and wealth creation and sharing; in all sectors. A lot of start-ups are funded by various companies in foreign countries and this helps the economy bring in more and more foreign investments.
It is important to note that it is not as easy as it seems, many with great ideas never get to complete the journey from ideation to commercialization, and many dreams die away. Tech startups are now being supported by a rapidly expanding ecosystem with strong recent growth in incubators, accelerators and angel groups. In fact, the number of women entrepreneurs increased up to 68% in U.S. from 1997 to 2014. Research about growing ecosystems emphasize the importance of leadership, communities, culture, education and the need to stop trying to emulate Silicon Valley.
